WORLD LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT
Many of our Foreign Exchange Club members are taking a language at PHS, and for good reason - there are so many benefits to learning another language! Research shows that language learning supports academic achievement, provides cognitive benefits, and affects attitudes and beliefs about language learning and about other culture. In fact, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) believes that everyone should learn at least one language in addition to English.
